The implementation project for the rehabilitation of the railway line Vora – Shkodra – Hani i Hotit (border with Montenegro), is being prepared in the framework of investments of the Western Balkans (WBIF) with the EBRD (leading financial institution) in the field of railway investments.
The project envisages the rehabilitation of the railway line with a length of 120 km and the rehabilitation of 12 railway stations for passengers and goods.
The project is in a final stage of preparation. The grant of 4.5 million Euros approved in December 2016, finances the preparation of the detailed project and the tender documents for the rehabilitation works.
In addition to rehabilitating the depreciated line from Vora to Shkodra, this project also enables the standardization of our railway with Montenegro and focuses on creating efficient railway connections between the countries of the Western Balkans and the EU.
