On the 1st day of the international forum “Tirana Connectivity Forum 2022”, being welcomed by the Durrës Port Authority and it is organized in Durrës, our CEO of the Albanian Railways S.A.,
Mr. Gentian Liko greeted a dedicated speech, from the panel held on “Criticality of the new ETC- European Transport Corridor of the Western Balkans, the East-West Dimension”,
Being moderated by the Treaty of the Transport Community (TCT), the panel consisting of the CEO of HSH, had also present the Executive Director of the Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro;
The Public Enterprise for Railways of North Macedonia – Infrastructure; and the Director of Policies of The Bulgarian Ministry of Transport, as well as with the support of H.E. the EU Ambassador in Albania, and other Embassies, and the Civil Society led by the CDI Albania.
At the forum, Mr. Liko informed the numerous participants about strategic Railway projects for the Revitalization of the Albanian Railway Network and “Further Development of Rail Corridor VIII “.
On this occasion, through his speech all the participants are introduced to concrete opportunities which complete rail projects by 2030, complying the main requirements of the TEN-T networks.
Mr. Liko has promoted all Project-Ideas and studies in preparation, as well as investment projects that accompany the vision of the Albanian Government, to achieve success in the improvement of the Railway Network and the Development of Corridor VIII for our country AL and for the Region.
The Transport Community of the Region, where Mr. Liko is a member of the Infrastructure Managers transport network for the Western Balkans, is marking their progress in the core dimensions (flagships) of the EU Economic and Investment plan of the Western Balkans with the development of the Railway Infrastructure in the East- West / Corridor VIII and axis connecting coastal regions.
