As part of the procedure for obtaining the Environmental Declaration, Albanian Railways in cooperation with the National Environment Agency (AKM), has begun holding public hearing, as part of the project of the rehabilitation of the railway line Vorë – Hani i Hotit. The initial meetings took place in Vorë, Laç, Lezhë, Vau Dejës, Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe before coming to an end in Bubq (Fush-Krujë).
The railway line Vorë- Hani i Hotit is part of the Pan-European Corridor 10 of the Main Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) wich links Albania and the Western Balkans to the European continent. A decision regarding the railroad project’s finance will be made within December 2022.
